Privacy protection center for you and your devices

Free and open source, powerful network-wide ads & trackers blocking DNS server.

AdGuard Home
AdGuard Home is a network-wide software for blocking ads & tracking. After you set it up, it'll cover ALL your home devices, and you don't need any client-side software for that.

How does AdGuard Home work?
AdGuard Home operates as a DNS server that re-routes tracking domains to a "black hole," thus preventing your devices from connecting to those servers. It's based on software we use for our public The contents of this section are hidden servers -- both share a lot of common code.

How is this different from public AdGuard DNS servers?
Running your own AdGuard Home server allows you to do much more than using a public DNS server.
  • Choose what exactly will the server block or not block;
  • Monitor your network activity;
  • Add your own custom filtering rules;
In the future, AdGuard Home is supposed to become more than just a DNS server.

Installation Screenshots

Unlike the popular belief that it can't be installed on Windows, it is possible to do so using any virtualization software. Here I'm using Hyper-V to do so and have also tested that it works with VmWare. So, even if you don't have a dedicated device(read Rasberry-Pi) or don't use a linux system as your daily driver, it is possible to use the same using the aforesaid softwares. Here are some screenshots from an actual install on windows using Hyper-V and Debian 9.5.

AdGuard Home : An Illustration through IDM

It works perfectly fine in blocking IDM from dialing home as well. You just need to enter the following custom filters in the filters tab and click apply.

Code:

You can access the IDM site using the IP address (169.55.0.224 or 169.55.40.5) and since we have provided an exception to the download address, it should be no problem to download the official setup file in case of an update.
