First post updated to v1.9
- Added option Set Windows Defender (Security) to Update Every 6 hours (Win8.1/Win10)
- Added option Disable or Enable Automatic Device Driver Installation
- Now you will be asked to restart after you enable or disable any option
- Removed Disable Windows Update Service since it's not needed ( If you used it from older version, you need to enable it from same older version or you can keep using this version if you want) since the point is to disable windows updates without effecting Store/Defender/Edge
- Now disabling update will auto hide Windows Update page in settings so it will now open Windows Defender (Security) instead and settings wont auto close anymore in Win10 1703 or newer (This option not present in older versions) as a workground for old Win10 Builds you can search for the settings you want or you can create a shortcut like ms-settings:windowsdefender more info The contents of this section are hidden
- Added Disable or Enable Auto Downloading Language Related Components (Win10)

I have a question. If I disable WU with the tool, can I still install updates manually using the *.msu standalone updates?

You have No permissions
Since Windows update service enabled, so yes you can, also it uses TiWorker.exe while installing and it's not blocked

Just tested it and updated Win10 1803 with kb4284835 and it's working

Remember if you used any other tool to block updates you need to use the same tool to enable it and restart before using mine
