some time your clarification on

Some clarification, on your time.

I have some questions regarding the system here:
  • Why can I not view users profiles and add friends?
  • Can users not edit their own posts?
  • I saw the shout-box required two posts when I joined, now the message has gone and I still cannot chat. It seems a bit counter-intuitive being able to see it outright.
I'm assuming it's because I have under a certain amount of posts. I'd have posted this is feedback, but no permissions at the moment.

Took me a few moments to fully comprehend the need for these type initial restrictions, can only imagine the hassle dealing with constant spam.

Any specific reason why you guys made it so new users can't see links ? I thought I got banned for some reason but I just didn't notice you added a new rule recently.

we want members to get involved in the forums and contribute. Most new registrations were done by leeches who only registered to download and never returned again. Only a few members were responsible for starting new threads which is silly when you look at the total members registered here at AiO. Now members need to be active and really need to contribute/post threads/useful replies.
The above all adds up to AiOwares becoming better and better instead of being just an easy place to download stuff without any effort

Thanks for the information, I also thought I was banned when I tried to enter my own profile and saw the message. I've tried participating but there is no much threads where I can comment and actually contribute with the discussion, I tried to comment without spamming but I'm still very short.
