9065 from station drivers is good. don't care if it is whql or not. i hate uad drivers. stopped updating uad drivers though they are latest version.

Realtek HDA FF00 32bit/64bit generic driver 6.0.9071.1 WHQL

I've installed 9071 on some my PCs and they worked great.
However, when I installed 9071 HDA FF00 on the Sony vaio laptop, the Realtek sound effect options from the Realtek HD Audio manager were once again removed. 2

so from 9018 FF00 to 9071 FF00, the Realtek sound effect options are no longer available on my bro's Sony vaio laptop pc.  guess I'm gonna have to remove 9071 and downgrade to either 9000, 8988 or older to get back those Realtek sound effect options on the Sony laptop.  Don't know what Realtek did with 9018 FF00 & greater but those options don't seem to be available anymore on the Sony machine, therefore I'll stop updating the HDA drivers on there.
All my other PCs with Realtek audio hardware do get those Realtek sound effect options with newer driver versions like 9071.

and speaking of older generic HDA drivers, there was an old generic 8955 HDA FF00 32bit/64bit version from this little known manufacturer

this one was released late - lesser known OEMs tend to release drivers many weeks or months late

Q.  why mention some older generic HDA FF00/FFxx versions, erp?
A.  because newest/latest generic HDA FF00/FFxx driver is not always the best one for some people

9071 FF00 seem to provide lower quality or softer bass sounds as confirmed by a few people in other forums and decided to use older FF00 versions like 9057, 9038, 9018 & 9000

this 9088 FF00 generic HDA driver from ASRock is listed for certain industrial motherboards such as IMB-V1000 - official release date for this driver was listed as 1/29/2021

so far this generic 9088 FF00 HDA driver works fine under Win10 but I read from one of danielk's recent posts from MDL forums that the 9088 HDA driver has some bad or faulty GUIDs which makes this driver not work properly under Win7 & 8.1 (he has a "fix" for this)

You have No permissionsI'm using the 9088 FF00 HDA on Win 7 (x64) but I haven't noticed anything bad. One of the guys on Nsane also posted that he thought it was excellent. I might have a look at danielk's post on MDL to find out more. 43 43 43

I read the post on MDL by danielk and downloaded and installed his "fixed" 6.0.9088.1 Realtek driver on my Win 7 (x64) and so far everything working fine. I didn't notice any problems with the previous 6.0.9088.1 driver, but I felt it was better to be safe than sorry. Thanks for the heads up. 78 78 78
