Not sure why this program runs in the background and doesn't seem to do anything but create a log file.

Any one have any suggestion?

You have No permissionsYes, does it require something special to work?
I am trying to fix my computer with a repair install because my license is messed up.  I am also trying to repair the permissions with the tweaking.com software, just to rule those types of issues out.  Also can you confirm the virus checks are false, I get three popups from defender that toss the download so I had to re-download this item a few times already.  I am guessing there is no way to make the program less invasive?  Is it possible to post the instructions to do what the program does manually somewhere in case the software just does not work out?

Thanks,

I will let you know what happens after I run the tweaking fix.

1-virus checks are false positives
2-disable defender during the download because of the false -positives. After download completes place it in a folder on the desktop and add the folder to exclusions in Defender before unpacking the .exe
3-disable Defender when you want to run the tool or add the .exe to exclusions in Defender before running it to avoid issues.

I'd like to know what OS you're running so please tell because it only works on Windows 10 and depends on .net
