if you activated by using KMS38 you can remove it completely and use hwidgen to generate a genuine digital license. All digital licenses are tied to the motherboard and are genuine. If you want to install a different version of windows 10 after getting a digital license you can use the license switcher to change the Windows 10 version which you then have to activate again with a digital license for that specific version. Licenses exist next to eachother which means that the license for your previous Win 10 version is still attached to the motherboard
