You can now use ChatGPT without login. However, the newer GPT 4.0 still requires login.
As it says, "It's core to our mission to make tools like ChatGPT broadly available so that people can experience the benefits of AI."


It seems like ChatGPT is more and more integrated to our lives. Without login ChatGPT will be like a search engine like Google.

I do use it as a seach engine for random, simple, one-liner questions, or very simple step-by-step guides.
But I would never use it for anything personal. Everything is still recorded and can be associated with the user even without an account.

But what about context? Not logging in is great for privacy, but it makes it hard to give personalized answers.

Its useful for quick questions where a chat history isnt that important, or if youve just hit the upload limit on your actual account lol

Even simple things like asking it to generate a spreadsheet, would make it ask you to login though.
