It was a bad period for hdds like a month ago but luckily they are back,the gpu problem is more related on low stock of transitors,even home routers are having a problem finding them.

rtx 3080 is selling for 16-20k BRL here in Brazil, which is about 3-4k USD... shits so expensive here

local dealers in my area doesnt allow buying gpu separately, you must build a pc to get a gpu. not that it helps lowering the price of the gpu

reviving old models of chips just wont be worthwhile for them in terms of profits. the shortage is a supply side one from tsmc and all the other fabs.

Almost a year and still no solutions in sight. So glad I got my 1660 Super for $230 right before price gouging... they ocer $700 now!!! Wtf

With China's recent crackdown on cryptocurrency and mining, GPU stock and prices may start to finally return to normal (maybe). Miners are either moving out of the country or selling everything so there might be a flood of used cards on the market.

Funny thing i was building a pc for my nephew and luckily got two GPU right before black friday 2020,so lucky not to wait for fuckin BLACK FRIDAY cos it could have been a disaster finding one later one and one of these was a MSI GTX 1660 SUPER that if i was a basterd i could sell it for 500 bucks now.
