Updated this morning to the new version (Windows 7 Ult. Ed. x64) and fixed by running AdobeCC2019-2020-GenP-2.6.2 and everything's fine; all Pro features working without any issue.

Do you run that to fix an old Painter installation? Or were you running AdobeCC2019-2020-GenP-2.6.2 already?

I installed and applied Genp 2.6.2 and it seems to work, bu this patch needs to be applied every time there's an update to acrobatDC

No need to delete anything when Acrobat Pro DC becomes unpatched after updating; just run the new patch as administrator.
